Thx!<BR/><BR/>Let me share a short piece I received from a friend this morning...<BR/><BR/>Dandelions:<BR/><BR/><BR/>Everything depends upon prospective,<BR/>Is my glass half-empty or half-full?<BR/><BR/>I have a choice to see it one way<BR/>Or the other.<BR/><BR/>Take dandelions, for instance…..<BR/><BR/>Some folks see them as a weed,<BR/>But to me they hold a world of meaning that far outstrips<BR/>The definition of a “weed”.<BR/><BR/>I was quite a little child still filled with awe and wonder,<BR/>When my dear Grandpa stooped down, and in his hurly-burlyness<BR/>picked a random, fully-opened dandelion,<BR/>Held it under my tiny chin and proclaimed,<BR/><BR/>“Oh, you really do love butter, don’t’ you…<BR/>I can tell because your chin shows yellow!”<BR/><BR/> I had a warm and glowing feeling and saw him as some mystic prophet,<BR/>Cause he took the time from busy farming<BR/>To give attention just to me.<BR/><BR/>Then because they held a magic in my mind,<BR/>These precious flowers became an instrument of love<BR/>For me…..<BR/><BR/><BR/>On May Day when I made a paper “basket”<BR/>To hang on Mother’s door and run away…<BR/><BR/>The Dandelion<BR/><BR/>Was the symbol of my love to her.<BR/><BR/>So fill the basket to the brim<BR/>With teensy-petalled, golden heads<BR/>And save the hollow stems for making necklace chains!<BR/><BR/><BR/>How many million times do we interpret incorrectly<BR/>The meaning of some lowly-seeming object<BR/><BR/>Such as a Dandelion?<BR/><BR/>Perhaps our gaze can rest on even persons of great intellect<BR/>Or seeming lowly stature,<BR/>And we can choose to see them from another “angle”.<BR/><BR/>Let’s look again!!<BR/><BR/><BR/>Marcia J.
